Unloading washed gravel into a swimming pool in central Stockholm
Ragn-Sells is using the pneumatic unloading system of the FlexVac® 311P to unload 40 tons washed gravel into a swimming pool in a basement.
The depth at one end of the pool must be reduced by 2 m as it is to be used as a "baby pool".
After unloading the gravel onto the street it is possible to load 10 tons of gravel through the hose in approx. 10 minutes. By use of the pneumatic unloading system the gravel is blown into the swimming pool in 30 minutes through a 5” unloading hose with an airflow of 2500 m3/hour and a pressure of 0.7 bar.
In this case the 5” hose is easier to handle than a 6” hose and the airflow is reduced from 3000 m³/hour to 2500 m3/hour thus reducing the pressure from 1 bar to 0.7 bar.
The energy consumption is 70 kW corresponding to 20 liters of fuel/hour.
